Job description

Headteacher Sundorne Infant School and Nursery L18-L24 £81,457 - £94,349 Full Time, Permanent Contract. To start in summer term 2027 Sundorne Infant School and Nursery is a thriving infant school and nursery. We are seeking our next leader with the drive and determination to build upon the excellent work of our current headteacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional professional with leadership experience ready to take the next step in their career and lead a great infant school and nursery. The Trust is looking for a dynamic and committed leader who will: Demonstrate a clear understanding of our school and Trust’s values. Have a strong vision for education and high aspirations for pupils and staff; inspiring a love of learning, positive behaviour, personal development, and compassion for others. Believe in and demonstrate the value of visible leadership throughout the school and community. Demonstrate robust communication skills and be adept at communicating with parents, pupils, governors, staff and community stakeholders alike including managing safeguarding matters. Build on all we have achieved together so far to continue developing high standards of individual pupil and school achievement. Show sound judgement in strategic, curriculum-led budget planning. Be able to work closely with the headteacher of the junior school based on the same site working together to ensure a smooth transition for our pupils in both settings. Be willing to contribute their skillset to the wider Multi Academy Trust and work with our team of headteachers to improve outcomes for all Trust pupils. In turn, you will be supported by our passionate and committed leadership team, employees and governors; our children who love to learn and a strong and vibrant school community. The school is part of the Severn Bridges Multi Academy Trust collaborating closely with Greenfields, Mount Pleasant, Short Wood, Radbrook primary schools and Harlescott Junior School. The Severn Bridges Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment.
